Jurassic Park was originally created by Michael Crichton but Universal Studios bought the rights before the book was published in 1990. Book was successful and Universal Studios came out with Jurassic Park in 1993 and Steven Spielberg directed it. Jurassic Park was followed by three sequels The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997), Jurassic Park 3(2001) and Jurassic World(2015). Jurassic Park was the beginning of computer generated imagery and it grossed $914 worldwide making the highest grossing movie of All time. It lost its #1 rank to titanic four years later.

 

 

Jurassic World was released on June 12, 2015 and became the fastest movie to make $1 billion dollars in less than 2 weeks. It beat the avengers best opening weekend with $104 million. Jurassic World also made $400 million in ten days domestically.
